This post is from Stephen Proctor, who I consider to be my mentor even though I have never met the guy in person. I read his blog, follow his twitter and read everything he reads. He has inspired to me to be more passionate in my responsibility of ushering people into God’s presence through the visual elements.
Here is a link to a blog post and a video by Stephen on why visual worship is important.
Light designers, I know I have been posting a lot about audio, mostly because of the new board, training, teaching, etc. Tonight, this one is for you.
Stephen Proctor is a guy I highly respect and one of the guys leading the charge with visual worship. I hope you enjoy the read as much as I did.
Be sure to follow the link to the TED Talk video on why light needs darkness. One of my favorite TED Talks.
With iPads, iPhones, and iPod touches becoming such a commonplace in today’s world we are always looking for new and easy ways to use them.
Here is a video from Brad Zimmerman that shows how we could use an iPad with a projector, a tool I think we will start using when people have powerpoints for their sermons. How simply would it be for the speaker to just swipe across the iPad sitting on the pulpit to get to his next point?
